1. Local Network Communication

Unison connects nearby devices using Apple’s Multipeer Connectivity framework. This communication happens exclusively within the local network and is used to coordinate recording and video transfer between devices.

No data is sent to external servers and no internet connection is required for these operations.

2. Data Stored Locally

Unison stores a limited amount of data locally on your device using UserDefaults:

• Trusted Devices List: A list of devices previously authorized by the user, used to avoid repeated permission requests.

This list can be reset at any time by the user from the app settings. No personal or identifying information is associated with these devices.

3. Media Handling

Depending on the assigned role (Master or Node), Unison may record video and transfer media files between devices.

• Videos are saved locally on the receiving device;
• No media content is uploaded, analyzed, or shared externally;
• All transfers occur directly between devices on the local network.

4. Permissions

Unison may request access to the camera, microphone, local network, and media library in order to function correctly. These permissions are used solely to provide the app’s core features.

Unison does not access or collect data beyond what is strictly necessary for recording and transferring media.

5. Authentication and Accounts

Unison does not use authentication systems, user accounts, or identity services. No login is required to use the app.

6. Payments and Subscriptions

Unison is completely free to use. There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or payment systems of any kind.

7. Third Parties

Unison does not integrate advertising SDKs, analytics tools, tracking systems, or third-party services.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

All data handled by Unison (videos and trusted devices list) remains on your device. Removing the app will permanently delete all locally stored data.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in this document with an updated "Last updated" date.
