What is Vision Note?

Vision Note is a daily ritual app for iPhone and iPad. it's a mindfulness-based commitment tool built around a single question: what is your True North today?

You go through three steps: Visualize where you want to be, Feel the emotion behind the goal, and Commit by writing it down and pressing commit. A golden border draws itself around your intention — a moment of ceremony for every decision.

Is Vision Note free to use?

Yes. The core app is completely free — you can set goals, track your history, and use the widget at no cost.

Vision Note offers optional in-app tips as a way to support development. Tips are one-time consumable purchases and unlock no additional features — they're just a thank you if the app brings you value.

Where is my data stored?

Everything you write stays on your device. Vision Note stores your goals locally using SwiftData and makes no network requests. There are no servers, no accounts, and no way for us to access what you write.

Does Vision Note sync across devices?

Vision Note stores data locally on each device. Your goal and widget stay in sync on the same device via App Groups — so the widget always reflects your latest commitment.

Cross-device sync is not currently available. Your data on iPhone stays on iPhone, your data on iPad stays on iPad.

How does the widget work?

The widget displays your committed goals directly on your home screen — a constant, quiet reminder of your True North.

In the app:

1. Commit your goals.
2. From your history, select the goals you want the widget to rotate through.
3. In Settings, choose how often the widget rotates (default: every 12 hours).

On your device:

1. Long-press the Home Screen until icons start to jiggle.
2. Tap the "+" button in the top-left corner.
3. Search for "Vision Note".
4. Choose the style, then tap "Add Widget".
5. Tap "Done" — your True North is always in view.

Can I have multiple active goals?

Yes. You can select as many goals as you want from your history and assign them to the widget. The widget displays one goal at a time and rotates through them automatically.

You control both the rotation order and how often the widget switches — so your goals stay visible on your terms.
